Lava in a Bottle

Create your own beautiful lava lamp through fizzing chemical reactions.

This fun science project teaches you how to make a kid-safe lava lamp at home, and includes all the equipment you need. 

Create different colours of lava by using various combinations of Fizzy Tint tablets. The fizzy tablets produce carbon dioxide gas in the flask and pops of colour. The buoyant gas carries coloured water droplets up through the oil to the surface. When the bubbles pop at the top, blobs of colour sink back down to the bottom.
