Get ready to get slimy with the Slime Factory! With this kit, you can produce your own slime and other cool polymers. 

The Slime Factory kit includes everything needed for five exciting experiments to help you learn about polymers and chemical reactions in daily life, as well as ending up with slime to play with at the end. Make a small bounce ball and some cheese curd.

1 x Slime Factory kit. Includes all ingredients and instructions for making slime, and other polymers. Will need to provide common household ingredients.

How It Works

Slime is a non-Newtonian fluid, and is dilatant. This means that under low stress (such as gently pulling), the slime flows and stretches and can form a thin film. Under high stress, such as a sharp, quick pull, the slime breaks. This is also why when you throw a small piece of the slime at the table, it bounces.

The crosslinks between the polymer chains can be destroyed by adding an acid. Add an alkali (a base that dissolves in water) and the slime will be regenerated!
