How does it work?
This lamp contains two liquids, each one close to the other in density but completely insoluble in each other. When the lamp is switched on the bulb produces a heat that is absorbed by the heavier liquid, causing it to expand and become less dense, ultimately rising in the lamp and creating the lava effect. When the lamp is switched off the liquid cools and slowly sinks to the bottom.
