Calling all budding astronomers! Take your star-gazing to a whole new level with this kid-friendly telescope and accompanying journal packed with facts and fun activity prompts.

The Newtons Cradle is a device that demonstrates conservation of momentum and energy. Newton's third law states: for every force there is an equal and opposite force. Use the Newtons Cradle to demonstrate that momentum and kinetic energy are conserved.

When one sphere is swung out and released, one is 'kicked' out the other side, two when two spheres are released, an so on.

It is prefect for teachers, a gift for science and gadget lovers, DIY fiends and busy executives.

Newton's Cradle (Height 16cm, Base 12cm x 12cm)

How does it work?

Newton's Cradle is named after Sir Isaac Newton, the world renowned scientist who unraveled the mysteries of physics, and introduced his laws of Motion. 'For every action there is an equal opposite reaction'. Newton's Cradle is a brilliant and fascinating demonstration of Newton's third law. When one ball is raised and released it will collide with the static balls in the centre, transmitting energy. When the energy reaches the last ball, it swings out and back again. If two balls are pulled back and released, then the last two balls swing out, etc.
