Nancy B's Science Club Garbage to Gardens Compost Kit & Decomposition Book
A highly visual composting kit, designed for experiments and learning!
Turn your garbage into nutrient-rich soil! This kit is designed to showcase the amazing process of composting. Perform your own experiments to see which materials decompose the fastest, and which ones don’t decompose at all.
This kit comes with a compost container that can be divided into two sides to compare the composting process. Use the 3x magnifiers to get a close look at the microorganisms doing their work. When your experiments are finished you can even use the nutrient-rich soil you’ve created to plant seeds and start a whole new life cycle! Great for the classroom.
Age: 8+
What you get
A clear compost container with 2 compartments including a removable divider. You also get two 3x magnifiers, 2 write-on/wipe-off boards, lid with air hole, and a 22-page activity journal.
How does it work?
Composting is an interesting process that speeds up the natural decay of organic material. It does so by providing ideal conditions for the microorganisms that accomplish this natural decay. By providing oxygen, moisture and nutrients, this kit helps you discover how bacteria can turn a banana peel or apple core into nutrient rich soil.
Watch as these important microorganisms do their work to help the earth!
