Travel Spirograph is the classic way to create countless amazing designs on the go! This portable Spirograph studio has a built-in design ring, work surface and storage compartment for holding your wheels, pens, paper, design guide and finished artwork.
Using spirograph is simple - slide paper between the flat surface and the movable piece containing the larger cog. Then place the pen inside one of the holes of one of the smaller gear and spin the gear using the pen as force. You can take it with you everywhere... car, plane or outdoors! All the pieces can be stored inside the case.

How Does it Work?
Developed in 1965 by British engineer Denys Fisher, spirographs create mathematical roulette curves known as hypotrochoids and epitrochoids. The original design consisted of two plastic rings with gear teeth. The smaller ring spins inside of the larger ring and has a ball point pen attached, which creates the curves. Different gear combinations will produce different patterns.
