How does it work?

Photovoltaic means light to electricity. The solar panel, or PV cell in this kit converts light energy from the sun into electrical energy. If it is an overcast day, bright artificial lights can be used as a substitute light source. The electric energy created by the solar panel powers the motor, and the motor, in turn, spins the diffraction foil disc for a colourful visual display you'll love. This exciting kit helps you explore various questions about solar power and electricity, such as:
