Make your own gooey slime with
this great science experiment. It’s so easy. Just mix the magic powders
(included) with water and voila . . . Your own slippery, squishy slime for hours
of fun. Teach polymer chemistry and Non Newtonian matter.

What
you get
Magic
slime lab kit (shaker cup, sachets of two different powders and mixing stick) in
a blister pack.
How
does it work?
Slime normally
behaves like a liquid (or jelly), but if you squeeze it in your hand it will
seem more like a solid. Because it can’t be classified into Newton’s common
states of matter (Solid, Liquid or Gas), slime belongs in a group of its own
along with our naughty putty and bouncing clay, called Non Newtonian matter. Use
it in the classroom as an example of this weird type of matter in a unit on
Solids, Liquids and Gasses. It is also an example of a substance made by
cross-linking long polymer chains. Chemistry experiments have never been so
exciting!
